1. The information contained in this Development Facilitation Services (“DFS”) website is provided by the Urban Renewal Authority ("URA") for a general and indicative purpose only.

The URA endeavors to ensure the information on the DFS website is accurate as of the date of publication but does not warrant its accuracy or accept liability for any errors, omissions, misstatements, or misrepresentations (whether express or implied). The Urban Renewal Authority ("URA") is committed to handling all personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) ("Ordinance"). To this end, the URA undertakes to:

• Collect personal data by lawful and fair means only, ensuring adequacy and relevance to the URA’s functions;
• Take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure the accuracy of personal data collected or retained;
• Erase personal data no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected;

• Protect personal data against unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, or other use;
• Take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that a person can be informed of the kinds of personal data that the URA holds and the purposes for which the data is to be used; and
• Permit persons to access and correct personal data of which they are the data subjects and process any such access/correction requests in a manner permitted or required by law.

Main Purposes of Keeping Personal Data

The URA collects and retains your personal data primarily for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account on the DFS website.
• To identify and verify users for security and service provision.
• To conduct internal research and analysis aimed at improving our services.
• To maintain records of communications with you.
• To handle and follow up on any complaints or inquiries you may raise.
• To support the overall operation and administration of DFS.

Your personal data will be used only for these purposes and handled in accordance with the Ordinance.

Activity Log

When you visit and/or use the DFS website, the servers of the URA may collect data relating to your visits (including but not limited to your IP address, domain name, browser type and access time) for research and operational purposes.

9. enforce any other rights of the URA against you.

Accuracy of Information

You may be requested to provide to the URA certain personal data (particularly relating to your contact information) for specific services. If you fail to provide or update your information as requested for specific services, the provision of such services may be affected.

Retention of Information

Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary for the purposes collected or as required by law, including reasonable periods for verification and audit after service termination.
